Watford Riverwell is an ambitious regeneration scheme targeting 70 acres of former industrial land, which will be transformed into a new community providing new homes, jobs, infrastructure and a school for the existing and new residents to enjoy.
Woodlands will be the first phase of this plan to be delivered at Willow Lane, and will see the construction of 3 residential blocks, extending between 5 and 6 storeys. Along with a new substation, associated car parking with electric charging points, internal cycle storage, refuse storage, outdoor amenity space and soft landscaping, these contemporary, highly specified homes will offer views of landscaped surroundings which border the restored River Colne.
A total of 95 spacious new 1, 2 and 3 bed apartments will be provided, with 33 units each in blocks A & B for private sale, and 29 units in block C which will combine a mix of affordable rent and shared ownership for Watford Community Housing. The flats will benefit from using a district heating system and PV panels are to be installed on the roofs.
